General Prerequisite for Application
- Completion of a north American Bachelor of Arts or a European Master 1 in political science or an approved cognate discipline of the social sciences.
- Language Proficiency : all candidates must document a level of reading comprehension in both French and English equivalent to level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR). A level of C1 or higher in both languages will be considered a strong positive element of an application dossier. Students may submit written work in either French or English, but should be able to read both languages well enough to understand books and scholarly articles in political science and cognate fields. The minimum language prerequisite, accordingly, is for reading comprehension.
Admitted students whose oral language skills are found to be inadequate may be required, at their own expense, to take an intensive language course at the beginning of the academic year.
Applicants whose first degree is in a discipline other than political science or whose first language is neither French nor English should contact the program director for further information.
Prior to submitting a formal application, candidates are strongly urged to contact the program director directly: Marc SMYRL
